About This Publication
Make La Jolla Great Again
Why Succeed When You Can Secede?

Make La Jolla Great Again is the official news organ of the La Jolla Independence Now! movement, dedicated to keeping residents informed of our progress toward a brighter, more exclusive future.

Founded in 2025 by a group of concerned homeowners who were tired of their tax dollars being spent on things visible from the freeway, MLJGA is committed to the twin principles of journalistic integrity and neighborhood aesthetic standards.

We cover all the news that matters to the 92037: secession updates, passport availability, property values, the seals, and the ongoing effort to determine whether clouds over the cove can be regulated.

Our reporters are drawn from the finest journalism programs in the country, as well as several people who were very active in their HOA newsletters.

MLJGA is a satirical publication. All stories are fictional. Any resemblance to actual La Jolla residents, living or dead, is both unintentional and frankly inevitable.

We Pay in Exposure.

Have you witnessed an act of breathtaking entitlement? Overheard a secession committee meeting at Brockton Villa? Seen a seal doing something newsworthy?

The Make La Jolla Great Again newsroom is committed to covering all the stories the mainstream San Diego media is too dependent on La Jolla advertising revenue to report.

Submit your tip using the form. All sources are kept confidential, unless they have a really good ocean view, in which case we may need to visit in person.

"All the news that's fit to secede — and several stories that probably aren't."
